Sugar Land weekend

This weekend we drove to Sugar Land to celebrate my mom and dad's birthday. We had a party for them and took a family photo Saturday morning. It was a great weekend. We went to Liz and Ran's Friday night and watched the Rangers make it to the World Series. They have a great outdoor patio with a TV and it was so nice out. We didn't take many pictures over the weekend , but here are a few that I liked....

Today we bought a new camera! Hooray for us. We really needed it. Too many days have gone by without a good camera. This week Lillie is 8 weeks old! She is starting to smile and make lots of noises. She is such a sweetie pie.

Life has been so different the past 3 weeks. patrick and I are both very tired but loving the wonderful change in our life. Lillie has been a great baby for the most part, she has her moments, but don't we all! I can't believe she is really here-I think that everyday. It seems like we waited forever for this little person to come and now she is here and she has a name and a personality and she is a part of our family! Here are some recent pics from the week.

Can't believe she's really here

On Wednesday, August 25th Lillie came!! I can't believe she is really here. It seems like we waited for her for almost a year. It's amazing how you can have this little person growing with you for so long. She is just the best thing ever. Patrick and I just LOVE her and can't believe she is really ours. We are just taking it one thing at a time and hoping for a smooth feeding or nap or diaper change. Here are a few shots of our new addition to our family of 3!

For the last year I have been apart of a bible study group. These people have been such a positive influence in my life and I learn so much from them. We are all ages and stages in our lives, but that is part of the neat experience. Everyone brings their knowledge and experiences.

Anyways, they threw me a little shower in place of one of our Tuesday night studies. It was SO much fun! We played the "scattegories" baby game, everyone painted a onesie for Lillie, and we had great cupcakes and decorations.

One of the ladies made me a HUGE crocheted blanket and gave me sweet poem about being a mom.
